Just saw this video on Reddit. I remember this vividly and wondered ever since the game why nobody has mentioned Bentancur’s early chance. Sizzling play all round. It also emphasises the need for a player who can ping those diagonals. That was some pass from PEH.

@hallenbeck @spurs When we talk about Bentancur, I've just heard there was massive quarrel in the dressing room similar to Newcastle at HT last season. They say that Bentancur will not wear Spurs shirt again and that we will soon hear "he's been injured". Any truth in this ? Person saying that says his source is inside the club.I hope that is not truth, but I don't know why was he so upset on substitute ? Do you know more about that ?

Impressions:

  1. Skipp too slow, but good solution for City game.
  2. Burnley goalkeeper was better playmaker than Madders who showed us some world class skill in how to set up counter attack for opponent.
  3. Johnson showed some great shooting skill and amazing decision making,
    4)Dejan Kulusevski showed one of crosses from his "something else" series.
  4. Pedro Porro is death for Burnley.

This is indeed "Clash of the Titans" like I thought it will be. These players are so checked out and look like they don't know where and when to run. Why not give chance to some youth players ?

@spurs

starting XI. Skipp is in at LB as expected.

Richarlison out. Made of biscuits that boy. Hope we can cash in and get someone less injury prone.

@hallenbeck @spurs Can't wait to see Skipp in action on LB. I secretly hope to see Scarlett at some point too if result allow. About Richarlison I am also for cash in. This season is rare opportunity to reclaim money spent on him and buy some #9 beast.

@SwellWines @spurs "Balance books", "Tottenham could steal", "One for the future", ticks all boxes except they want 20 and value on transfermarkt is 10 million so Spurs owner will not feel like he's on discount and probably will offer 8-10 mil. and then add bonuses up to 12-13 mil. and all of that in installments and get rejected. Then some other club like Brighton, Crystal Palace or Fulham might show up and pay 20 and turn him into superstar. 😄

@hallenbeck @spurs I notice that problem too and then Emerson Royal gets hate from fans for goal for not marking two on position which is not even his. However this is one of problems, other are corners and set pieces and the biggest I saw is diagonal high ball in space on the other side.

"Tottenham are moaning that [x] jumped into the back of Vicario. I think he has to be stronger there."

C'mon PGMOL, you can do better than this.

@spurs

svarogbg1,
@svarogbg1@vivaldi.net avatar

@hallenbeck @spurs If it's truth that Spurs asked to clarification of PGMOL about fouls on goalkeepers in February and they didn't answer it by now then I guess they are still thinking. They will answer just when season ends and that might not be valid for next season. 😂

Board need to ensure players on the pitch have the same conditions to play like others. I saw graph saying 1 penalty and more than 1000 ball touches inside penalty box for Spurs, wile others with similar number of touches have 4,5,8, and Chelsea have more for 50% less touches with the ball inside the box. PGMOL had chance to give three penalties for Spurs vs Arsenal:

  1. Pushing Romero strongly with both hands resulting in ball hitting the post instead of goal.
  2. Contact with Dejan from behind because of which his one foot hit other and he felt. Then VARsenal scored a goal.
  3. Given after naughty kick from behind in front of Oliver who need VAR to call him to give that!
    Then Webb said Oliver did great job. Bias is real and double standards exist.
svarogbg1,
@svarogbg1@vivaldi.net avatar

@hallenbeck @spurs I even heard yet non confirmed fact that VAR called Oliver to monitor for possible penalty on Kulusevski, but that he refused to go there! According to social media american commentator told this and I am still amazed Tottenham didn't ask for releasing of audio of communication between VAR and Oliver if that was the case!

@svarogbg1@vivaldi.net avatar

What's your opinion on this player Joshua Orobosa Zirkzee from Bologna ? He looks more capable of beating opponent than Richarlison to me. Price seems to be 60. Saudis are interested in Richarlison. I know what I would do if this Zirkzee guy has pace.

@spurs

svarogbg1,
@svarogbg1@vivaldi.net avatar

@hallenbeck @spurs He has good stats of goals per 90 minutes, he can do tap ins and headers and run, but I'd like someone who plays better who can hold and protect ball, link up play, trick opponent or at least make space for good shot on goal with opponent in front of him. I'd take Isak if possible. Mido mentioned player Omar Marmoush saying I warned you about Salah you didn't listen I warn you again about this one. What's your opinion about him ?

svarogbg1,
@svarogbg1@vivaldi.net avatar

@hallenbeck @SwellWines @spurs There must be reason why Ange started most of the games with Son like striker. It's not just injuries. Richarlison fails eye test, can't do much except tap ins, running and headers. We need better than that. There is more in the game than tap in goals and assistance, there is also difficulty of scoring goals or making assist. Passing short ball few meters to someone to shot is not the same like when you beat your opponent and then send ball to alone man because his guardian runs toward you if you know what I mean.

My striker need to have better first touch, must be able to keep and hold the ball, link up play, shot from edge of the box when needed, be able to beat someone one on one or at least to make himself space for shot with man in front of him and not get blocked. He's not that guy for me. Yes, he scored some goals, that's why we might be able to recover founds we spent on him and buy someone better with better first touch who accelerates fast... Iask is I think much better player, but we are not getting him.

What is your opinion about:

  1. Possible fouls on Kulusevski and Madders for penalty before Saka goal ?
  2. Pushing of Romero when he hit post.
  3. Oliver need VAR to tell him to watch again despite he was 2m from kick into Davies ?
  4. Not giving foul for yellow card on stepping up on Kulusevski in second half ?
  5. Disallowed goal of Van de Ven and difference compared to allowed goal by West Ham on N17 ?
  6. Pushing Van de Ven with both hands on corner on Arsenal goal ?

Is he Anti-Tottenham daemon ?
@spurs

svarogbg1,
@svarogbg1@vivaldi.net avatar

@hallenbeck @spurs For me it was very big problem. I suggest we try to push Chelsea player with both hands when he jumps to do header from 2 meters from line and to check for the outcome. Why do I think it would be stonewall penalty ?
What's your oppinion about Adrian Sroka's idea I've heard yesteday about moving Romero in number 6 role and Dragusin or someone better yet to buy on RCB. I think Romero has all required attributes for #6 and that would increase our strength in set pieces too. would love to see that experiment in some of remaining games. Can he become our Rodri ? Our Bruno Gimaraes ? :) @spurs

svarogbg1,
@svarogbg1@vivaldi.net avatar

@SwellWines @hallenbeck @spurs What's he missing ?

svarogbg1,
@svarogbg1@vivaldi.net avatar

@SwellWines @hallenbeck @spurs That's exactly what I think Radu behind on RCB and we have 2 elite players in the air. If Richy is striker we have 1 more good in the air. (Son on wing). From club which concede the most goals from set pieces we could become big danger in attacking set pieces, no ?

"War chest" of 200-250 million to support Ange Postecoglou in the summer. Who says no ? I think I know.

svarogbg1,
@svarogbg1@vivaldi.net avatar

@hallenbeck @spurs I have patience with managers, but I'd like to see some significant signing some proven player I've heard about and think he's excellent, someone like Klinsmann in the past. I'd like to see two like that who can elevate us to next level. That 200-250 million was Spanish April fools joke on other platform and I didn't understand it on time. :)

I don't want to miss players like Mane or Grealish in the future because our chairman always wants discount on price.

svarogbg1,
@svarogbg1@vivaldi.net avatar

@hallenbeck @spurs I agree we had bad recruitment after Michell and before Paratici and that we keep bad players for to long. Our chairman has multiple bad characteristics.

  1. He always wants discount and we lose world beaters because of that.

  2. He doesn't want to sell bad players because he doesn't want to sell for lower fee and we end up with keeping them for too long and that's excuse for not buying because we have huge salary cap.

  3. Third bad habit is to buy questionable players "club signings" who end up on loan and never become good enough for Spurs and money has been spent.

About bad signings they've been signed by some dofs, scouts, coaches or himself personally like Richarlison and Spence and all of that staff appoints chairman or people appointed by chairman.

There are to many spreadsheet personal in our club and to few footballing people. Why Sheringham, Hoddle, Sherwood, Anderton, De Foe, Ginola or someone like that can't be in that board?

svarogbg1,
@svarogbg1@vivaldi.net avatar

@hallenbeck @spurs About youngsters I am for giving them chance in games near the end 15-20 minutes to see if they can or can't. If they can give them more time, if they can't send them on loan. We are just sending on load as far as I can see.

svarogbg1,
@svarogbg1@vivaldi.net avatar

@SwellWines @hallenbeck @spurs I'd love to win Arsenal, but I don't believe in wins when anti-Spurs daemon Michael Oliver is on center.We'll probably watch wrestling, not giving us fouls even for yellow cards then once our nervous players make fouls we'll see cards. I would not exclude possibility that we finish with red cards and injured players like vs Chelsea when he ruined our season.

FFS.

svarogbg1,
@svarogbg1@vivaldi.net avatar

@hallenbeck @spurs I don't believe in sofascore ratings and if it says Davies was better than Van de Ven I am more convinced I am right. He was good in some games, i liked the most his clearance vs Newcastle when he sent difficult ball into corner in front of isak, but I really don't think he has chance against Salah, Saka, Fodden or that kind of players. Especially in high line where pace is crucial because he is not the fastest. If they forced Udogie to play through injury that is very big mistake by the club.I noticed he was not so good in recent games, but thought it was fall in form. Why do they force player to play through injury vs Luton or Nottingham Forest ? FFS Unforgivable! Interesting is all heavily injured are on left side Perisic, Sess, Udogie. I believe we have some beast playing on right side and it is not Porro.

About Dier's comments and Ange response my opinion as international fan who is watching it over TV is this:

Ange massively over achieved in this season. I thought without Kane Spurs will be around 10th place before season started. We are 5th with very little chance to go down and with theoretical chances to be even 4th if we have strong finish of the season.

Having said that I must also notice that players of some other clubs look better trained in terms of when and where they are running and when and where to make right time pass and in useful passing in general.

Problem is that for me Spurs played better at the beginning of the season than now. My question for Ange is why is that the case ?

And about Dier he told everything he need to tell during match vs Southampton away last season when he moved away from opponent so we can concede goal and then asked why those attackers scored only 3 goals ?

@hallenbeck I needed that battering of opponent too. Way how Ange battered Unai today will be studied. Well done to everyone involved.

Gutted for Van de Ven, but felt secure with Dragusin too. I hope it's not more than month for Van de Ven.

Only who really pissed me off was Dejan Kulusevski when he didn't pass to alone Son but fired shoot into the sky. He rised my blood pressure in that situation if you know what I mean.
@spurs

svarogbg1,
@svarogbg1@vivaldi.net avatar

@hallenbeck @spurs Son was very ,very good in second half, got 9.1 rating, setup first goal, setup big chance for Kulusevski, last one failed to return favor couple of minutes after and sent ball into the sky, Son scored goal. I wanted 1,2,3 Son will score for me situation, but I accept this that's how good he was.

svarogbg1,
@svarogbg1@vivaldi.net avatar

@SwellWines @hallenbeck @spurs He made me swearing publicly on social networks. I am not proud on it, but that was so selfish, stupid move and so bad shot and Son was right there just to score a tap in goal, just one not to hard pass was all what he should do. I noticed Deki can't get into position for tap in on cross from other side. Twice he was meter or two from the ball, Johnson or Werner would maybe catch the ball and do tap in. He's good in holding ball, can play good pass, but that moment when he didn't pass. I will write paragraph about that like about Johnson after Brighton when he didn't pass but turn around and get blocked...

@hallenbeck @spurs Conte dropped truth bomb about this questionable player in interview.

svarogbg1,
@svarogbg1@vivaldi.net avatar

@hallenbeck @spurs @epl Strange compared into what kind of murderer Conte converted Lukaku in Inter couple of years before. Average football fan who watched couple of Everton games could tell he's not good player and surly not worth 30 million, but DL "Driving force behind this opportunistic buying" went there and payed for him 60 believing he got 20 million lower price! Jack shit signing from DL. If he sell him for 25 he can sing from happiness.
I understand why is he "pigeon",.He loves to shit in newspapers a lot. Remember when he threw us out of FA cup with his miserable performance and then complained why he is not playing in next game ? I mean after literally going out with ball for no reason ? Then that shot which hit corner flag, then missed chance in first half two on two him and Lucas... There you see it's not Conte who doesn't know it's RIcharlison who doesn't know. Sooner we sell him and buy someone good better for us.

svarogbg1,
@svarogbg1@vivaldi.net avatar

@hallenbeck @spurs @epl 7 of 10 goals are against bottom teams. Against decent team like Newcastle and Man United only 3. Almost all of his goals are simple tap-ins, or headers. There is no first touch, ability to protect ball, build up play, ability to make himself space for shoot when player is in front of him, pace is questionable. His level are Everton, Brentford, Bournemouth, Nottingham F and teams like that. All players you mentioned above are developers of football for him including Ivan Toney who skipped 6 months this season because of betting and Santiago Gimenez from Feyenoord.

svarogbg1,
@svarogbg1@vivaldi.net avatar

@hallenbeck @spurs @epl When clinical player like Son runs toward goal I know it will be 99% goal, when Son has one opponent in front of him I am confident he can make space for dangerous shot, when Son cuts in outside box from both sides I know I can expect rocket in top corner. Guy is only clinical striker in Spurs at the moment. For every other attacker in Tottenham I am not sure they are scoring or I know they don't in such situations.

It's Son's movement that tricked all Palace players to follow him which enabled ball to come to Werner. Son has ability to score goal out of nothing. Richarlison is not even close. He's better only in headers. I am not saying he is complete crap, but at best ordinary average player surely not worth 60 million in 2022. Levy could buy someone lot better.

Who he is I don't know, I am not football scout, just fan. That season I'd buy Calum Willson to be reserve for Kane and some pacy winger able to engage opponent one on one who would make people jump from seat when he dribbles. (ASM type). In that wndow crucial was to buy proper LCB for Conte like Bastoni and he got Lenglet on loan.

I hope we will exploit Lenglet next weekend. :)
